Past Projects

At the CLC we can cater for a variety of different requirements. Most of our projects have been run as one or two full day sessions but we have been able to provide week long special projects too. Groups we have attending have ranged in age (from year 2 through to adult) and ability and we can provide special small group projects for areas such as G&T, S.E.N. and L.S.U. students. We can usually take groups of up to 30 students but larger groups (up to 60) can be arranged.

Primary Projects

Over the last year we have seen many different primary groups attending the centre. From our year 2 Film Makers to our Year 6 Web Designers. Without exception these groups have shown exactly what South Sefton has to offer; imagination, creativity and an enthusiasm that is hard to beat.We are currently looking at ways we could work with our partner schools to identify academic areas we could target at years 5 & 6 in order to ease transition and help boost baseline knowledge at key stage 3 entry.

Secondary Projects

This year has been busy with groups from right across the curriculum attending the CLC. Together with year 8 from Hillside we brought Henry VIII and his 'friends' and family back to life for a special 'This is your life'. Short films were made by St Wilfrid's Geographers and a saga to rival Eastenders was scripted and produced by a group of Savio year 11's. This year the CLC wants to look at ways we can impact English and Maths teaching at key stage 3 & 4 and we would welcome any suggestion or ideas for projects.
