St Ambrose Barlow & Holy Spirit Transition Project
This project was designed to forge links between children in their last year at primary and selected year 7 & 8 students from St Ambrose Barlow Catholic College. The students worked in small groups with a secondary 'mentor' to produce a public awareness campaign for the fire service. The teams designed their own characters, posters, tv trailers and promotional keyrings during the day.
Dreamweaver & Flash Workshops
To help with both DiDA and the new OCR National Diploma Qualification in ICT, groups of students have been working with the CLC to develop necessary multimedia skills. Courses have been run over a day long session during which software is introduced serving as an introduction for students and a refresher for teaching staff.
Video Editing
A number of projects have been run at the CLC looking at easy ways to incorporate the use of video into areas of the curriculum such as Geography, Literacy and History. The projects have given staff the chance to practise skills with the full support of the CLC staff.
